Long Live Texas! Dr Pepper was invented in Waco in 1885. The Dublin Dr Pepper, 85 miles west of Waco, still uses pure imperial cane sugar in its product. There is no period after the Dr in Dr Pepper.

Die hard Packer fan! The “Indian Packers” were established in 1919 by Curly Lambeau and George Calhoun. They were sponsored by the Indian Packing Company. When the company was sold in 1921 to Acme Packing Company, the team changed to “Acme Packers”. As the home of the Green Bay Packers, Green Bay is the smallest city in the U.S. to host a professional sports team.

Born and breed stereotypical Texan – minus the boots. Texas is America’s number one exporter by state ahead of California, Washington and New York. We lead the way with petroleum and liquid propane exports – $68B annually.

Home sweet home Virginia. Not only is Virginia the home of my beloved Virginia Tech Hokies, it is also home to Jamestown, the first English settlement in the U.S.

Texas girl…. Ya’ll. In 1942, the BBC banned the song “Deep in the Heart of Texas” in factories, as the clapping portion of the song was seen as a hazard around heavy machinery.

Born and raised in Ohio! People immediately ask me if I am a Buckeye fan when they learn that I am from Ohio. Not a fan of Buckeye Ohio State football team, but love the Buckeye peanut butter chocolate!

Born and raised in New Jersey – still currently reside there. New Jersey has the highest population per square mile – which creates the worst traffic ever.

California – Almost three quarters the size of France, California accounts for nearly 90 percent of American wine production. There are more than 1,200 wineries in the state, ranging from small boutique wineries to large corporations with distribution around the globe.
